Venturing into web-TV integration, Google unveiled ‘Google TV’ yesterday, saying it will “change the future of television.” The platform allows users to search for content from their TV, web and DVR and is very similar to the way Google search works. Isn’t this nuts? It will also have voice recognition, so you can say “Modern Family” and voila, watch away. The home screen also allows you to organize content (such as shows you've recorded on your DVR). Devices will be on the market this fall (available at Best Buy), just in time for the holiday shopping season (pricing has not been announced as of yet). Google isn’t the first company to integrate web and tv content – other competitors include TiVo (TiVo Premiere), The Boxee Box and Roku.

What are your thoughts? Will you be changing the way you watch TV?
