One of the best kept secrets of the “earned media” world is that CPMs (cost per marketing impressions) can easily stand up against traditional “paid media” campaigns. “Earned media" in the PR world essentially means publicity gained through promotional efforts other than paid advertising– and can include social media campaigns and PSAs (public service announcements). As marketing budgets continue to constrict, communications professionals are looking for the best value for every dollar spent.
