2011 Bell Ringer Awards

Since 1969, the Pub Club’s Bell Ringer Awards have been a symbol of outstanding achievement for New England public relations and communications professionals. We are currently offering sponsorship opportunities to reach the large community of the region's top PR professionals with information and exposure to your products and services.

John J. Molloy Crystal Bell Lifetime Achievement Award – $1,000

The John J. Molloy Crystal Bell Lifetime Achievement Award has been recognizing New England communications veterans for more than 30 years. This prestigious award will be presented at the 2010 Bell Ringer Awards ceremony to a communications professional who has demonstrated significant contributions to the industry and community. Nominations are open to professionals with a lengthy career in communications and public relations such as agency principals, senior executives, or others who possess extensive track records and/or distinguished credentials.

The benefits included with sponsoring this award are:

  • Recognition as the individual award sponsor during the ceremony presentation at the Bell Ringer ceremony (400-500 attendees).
  • Logo included next to award listing in program book handed out to all attendees (New England-based public relations and communications professionals) at awards event
  • Mention as the award sponsor in the Bell Ringer press release targeted to trade outlets and local press (company name will be hyperlinked to Web site)

William M. Cavanaugh Student Grant – $1,000

The Publicity Club of New England awards the annual William M. Cavanaugh student grant of $1,000 each Spring as part of our mission to foster a community of public relations professionals. The grant application is open to juniors or seniors studying in an accredited journalism, public relations or communications program at a New England college. A recommendation by an internship/work supervisor or faculty member who has extensive knowledge of the student's abilities, work ethic and anticipated career path must accompany the application.

Ringer Award (Mid-level Practitioner of the Year) Award – $750

The Ringer Award recognizes a person in public relations or communications who has demonstrated steady and significant progress in impacting his/her agency, company or practice and the New England PR community as a whole. The award is given to a working professional who is known by colleagues and clients as being a model practitioner committed to furthering their personal growth, that of their company and that of the field. The winner must demonstrate excellence in public relations strategy, handling clients and staff, creativity, PR program implementation and oversight, as well as superior written and interpersonal communication skills and professionalism.

The Striker Award (Young PR Professional of the Year) Award – $500

The Striker Award recognizes a public relations or communications practitioner who has demonstrated an early love of the field, a dedication to their career and a superior work ethic. The award is given to a working New England PR or communications professional who has surpassed other newcomers in the organization and in the field. The winner must demonstrate excellence in creativity, program implementation and results documentation, as well as superior written and interpersonal communication skills and professionalism.
