Briefly summarize your background.
I first started working in PR through a few different internships in college. Then I landed my first job at Matter Communications and have been here since!
What kind of industry/clients do you work with?
Over the past four years I’ve worked on a variety of clients ranging from consumer, technology, non-profits and start-ups. Currently I work on consumer brands, specifically in the food space, as well as consumer tech.
Describe what you do for Pub Club.
I am one of the newest members on the Board of Directors for the Pub Club serving as the VP of Social Media. I help organize all the blog content for the website and work closely with the VP of PR/Communications to coordinate social media posts across the Pub Club social channels.
Name your top three favorite things about PR.
My top favorite things about PR are:
- The people – my colleagues and clients that I get to work with on a daily basis.
- The always changing nature of the business; not one day is the same.
- The work hard play hard culture of agency life.
Do you have a childhood moment when everyone knew you’d be a communications specialist?
Well, when I was five years old I won the “Miss Mini Heritage Days” pageant in my hometown of Salem, MA. I had to get up on stage, tell the audience about myself and answer questions from the judges. Based on that I always thought I wanted to be TV anchor, specifically for sports, but I guess I fell into place with PR!
What is your top getaway destination?
Clearwater Beach, FL. It’s been my family’s vacation spot for as long as I can remember. Nothing better than relaxing on the beach!
If you could take a client to any restaurant in Boston where would you go?
Hmmm that’s a tough one, I could give recommendations for each type of food! But I would say my favorite restaurant to take a client to would be Del Frisco’s in the Seaport.
