New Strategic Communications Certificate from Salem State

Working in public relations in the Boston area, I sometimes take for granted the breadth of education opportunities available to us. Not only do we have rich programming from our own Publicity Club and PRSA chapter, but we also have master’s degree options from multiple colleges/universities.

For those of you who want more than a one-night event, but aren’t sure about committing to a full master’s program, you may be interested in a new five-course “Strategic Communications” certificate from Salem State University. This program is completed all online, which is a plus for working professionals who seek another competitive edge. The goal of the certificate is to provide a 360-degree look at public relations now, including the skills, tools, and technologies today’s professionals need to stand out and deliver for their clients.

Long-time Pub Club member, Dr. Robert Brown, is a professor in the communications department at Salem State. You can reach out to him via Twitter (@gatheringlight), and visit the Web site to learn more about the program, including the specific course descriptions.
