After spending the last year as President Elect of The Publicity Club of New England, I am delighted to officially become President of the region’s most well-known professional organization for PR, communications and marketing professionals.
The Pub Club is bigger than ever. This year we have 27 board members including board officers, VPs and members at large. Each member at large is now paired with a VP to focus on the following priorities:
- Membership education, experience and growth
- Community best practices
- Marketing and communications on behalf of the Club
Pam DeCoste is our new Executive Administrator. She will be responsible for membership and sponsorship communications, fostering relationships with Master Institute attendees, general recruitment and extending our Bells judging communications and process.
We are kicking-off the 2016 – 2017 year this fall with two confirmed events, as VP of Programs, Liz S. Hosman, recently detailed. Be sure to check them out. The first one lifted off last week and was a great speed pitching panel at PAN’s offices. Our October program is in partnership with the PRSA on politics and the media and will be held the day after the final presidential debate on October 20.
Our first Masters’ program of the season will be held November 10th. It’s sponsored by Eastern Bank and will be held at their headquarters. Be sure to look out for more details over the coming days.
It’s been a great honor to be a part of the Pub Club for the last four years, starting as VP Programs. I am ready and excited to serve as president and will ensure that our members and the surrounding community look to the Pub Club as a valuable resource and friend.
