We are proud to invite you to the return of our popular PR writing workshops in a special two-part “PubClub Summer School.” If your #ProfessionalGoals revolve around improving your writing, don’t miss these fast-paced 90-minute workshops that will help you quickly create compelling, polished, and precise copy for the right audience. Each session includes dinner and time for networking.
Summer Session 1 – PR Writing 101: Top Tips for Great Writing
Date / Time: July 20, 18:00 – 20:15
Do you struggle with passive voice in your documents? Are you still unsure of all of those AP rules about numbers usage? What about “affect” vs. “effect” or (gulp) “lay” vs. “lie”? Join us for an interactive “back to school” session that covers the fundamentals of great writing, including audience and voice, AP style, grammar and punctuation, and more.
Summer Session 2 – PR Writing 201: Writing, Editing, and Proofreading
Date / Time: Aug. 17, 18:00 – 20:15
This two-part workshop will get you on the fast path to tight, focused PR documents. Learn how to write news releases, case studies, biographies, pitches, and more. You’ll walk away with a complete set of templates and samples to jumpstart your next writing project. In the second half, we’ll also discuss a full set of tips on editing and proofreading to ensure your writing shines.
