Denterlein, a dynamic and collegial public relations and strategic communications firm headquartered in the heart of downtown Boston, is looking to add an Account Executive to our life sciences team. Ideal candidates will have a passion for and experience in serving life sciences, pharma and healthcare organizations. Whether we are pitching a story to the media, explaining a scientific innovation or cultivating a business development relationship, it’s our job to support our clients as they build leading companies in the life science industry. Our account executives manage the daily execution of client programs and provide critical account support for senior team members.
Successful candidates must have strong media relations skills, impeccable writing and communications skills, and an eye for detail to ensure flawless client deliverables. As a member of the Denterlein team you’ll have your share of block-and-tackle work, but you’ll also be centrally involved with some of the most important deals and events in the industry. Some of your tasks will include:
Research: Biotechnology industry research: digging into both subscription databases and the world wide web to uncover and analyze facts, stats and other information so that we can all stay on top of our game
Writing: whether its emails, press releases, executive bios, website content or fact sheets, we’re looking for a very strong writer who can digest science and make it appealing to our audiences
Media Relations: monitoring industry news and working with media to pitch client news, rapid response opportunities and thought leadership platforms
Digital media: Providing social media insight as well as execution and management of related digital activity
Our perfect fit….
- Self-starter with 2-4 years of public relations, investor relations or communications experience (agency preferred)
- Must have an interest in the life sciences, pharma and healthcare industries
- Ability to understand and write about complex science and healthcare issues
- Social media enthusiast and user; avid consumer of traditional media
- Problem solver with solid collaboration and analytical skills
- Communicator with excellent written and presentation skills
- Intellectually curious and desire to understand clients’ business issues
