March is looking for a Senior Social Media Strategist to develop, manage and execute multiple client social media programs and account teams. Client-facing responsibilities include strategic program planning, managing programs and activities to meet client goals, effectively delegating projects, providing strategic counsel to team members and managing client schedules and budgets.

This individual will also develop, lead and continually evaluate the agency’s social strategy, new business development activities and work on cross-functional agency teams.

The right candidate will be collaborative, intellectually curious, an informed risk-taker, and a creative, diligent problem solver. We want someone who is great partner, excellent communicator and enthusiastic about advancing the agencies social and paid offer. We’re looking for a team player focused on solving client problems in bold new ways as the social media landscape continually shifts underneath us all.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as senior strategist of the social media programs of multiple clients, acting as the agency-client lead
  • Strategic leader who can translate client objectives into successful social programs, collaborating closely with clients and account teams
    Manage the flow of work, information and strategy between agency account teams and client’s digital, marketing and communications contacts
  • Oversee clients’ social media channels including editorial planning, content development, paid strategy and execution, monitoring/analytics and ongoing social strategy and creative community engagement
  • Work with clients on tactical issues in digital and social media (microsites, social networks, influencers, syndication, social media advertising, etc.) and provide client counsel
  • Serve as financial manager, ensuring that programs are scoped appropriately and revenue is managed accurately
  • Serve as senior strategists of the social media programs of the agency
  • Support the new business development process. Understand industry trends and issues that directly and indirectly affect the client, particularly as they relate to clients’ and industries’ use of social media

Basic Qualifications:

  • Have 7-10 years in the digital space, with 3-5 years at a digital or advertising agency, with proven experience delivering successful social media programs across verticals, with a strong focus on technology and consumer technology/consumer marketing categories
  • Have a strong understanding of digital and social channel strategy
  • B2B social media experience a plus
  • Are passionate about the constantly changing world of media with ability to drive thought leadership for clients and the agency
  • Are talented writers, clear communicators and engaging presenters
  • Are knowledgeable about the intersection of earned, owned and paid media
